On 21st September, 2018, Fleetwood’s most famous tenor, Alfie Boe, visited the lifeboat station to film for a BBC documentary.
Alfie was eager to join the Fleetwood RNLI volunteers on a training night and was quickly kitted out in the RNLI’s famous ‘yellows’.
He took part in a casualty recovery exercise and helped bring the ‘casualty’ back to life with CPR, although our dummy, ‘Dead Fred’, didn’t seem to notice !
It was a great night for the lifeboat crew and we hoped Alfie enjoyed it as much as we did.
